Matrix PDO Threads are another method of tightening and thickening your skin. They are a type of single PDO (polydioxanone) filament that is known to induce collagen production.
Matrix PDO Threads are inserted into the skin, to promote the creation of new collagen. The activation of collagen synthesis induces gradual skin thickening, skin tightening and rejuvenation effect.

How long does the effect last?
Results may be seen in 6 weeks and will continue to improve over 2 to 6 months. While the threads slowly dissolve, their effects may last up to 12 months.

What to expect after the treatment?
You will experience some tenderness, minor localised swelling and bruising and irregularities in the skin texture which will settle in 1-5 days.

Long (Lifting) Threads
These are long ligaments made from PDO (polydiaxonone), that induce collagen production along their length. The threads are used for lifting purposes and are suitable for those looking to treat sagging &/or jowling - drooping skin on the mid and lower face and neck.
How long does the effect last?
Even though there will be some obvious results straight after the treatment, the collagen production continues to improve over the next 6-8 weeks. The effect will last 12-18 months.

Avoid high impact sports and activities. Avoid opening your mouth wide as in wide yawning, laughing etc.

What are the risks associated with long threads?
Common side effects include temporary bruising, swelling, rippling or puckering of the skin. Serious side effects are rare and include infection, nerve damage, facial asymmetry, keloid scarring, thread breakage or formation of nodules.
